Microsoft Building 122
Post Tensioning Solutions was selected as the post-tensioning specialty contractor on the Microsoft Building 122 project.
Our scope on the project was to remove the post-tensioned slabs for HVAC penetrations, skylights and three stories of atriums in two locations in the existing structure. Microsoft's objective was to have all of their employees work areas within 30 ft of sunlight, thus creating a better work environment.
More than 1,000 tendons had to be controlled de-tensioned and re-anchored for this modification.
We did this without shoring the entire building using our specialized process.
