For this project, we completed two major slab retrofits at the Kirkland Urban development. In the first phase, we de-tensioned and relocated anchors to open five stories of 20′ radius stairwell cores and install a 6′ skylight. In the second phase, we returned to perform a vertical retrofit for an elevator shaft by de-tensioning and relocating two more levels of post-tensioned tendons. All modifications were done without full-scale shoring, preserving both the structural integrity and project schedule.
